Home > About BUFFALO

BUFFALO International Logistics is a China-Africa online trade logistics service provider. Our aim is to provide cost-effective one-stop logistics and distribution services for cross-border online trade between China and Africa, as well as for online retail trade within Africa. We offer the most direct and fastest sales channels for consumers in Africa and China. Our business model is similar to that of SF Express (self-built warehouses and self-operated trunk transportation) and Cainiao (self-built information system).

BUFFALO focuses on comprehensive logistics services from China to the African continent and local logistics distribution in Africa. Our headquarter is located in Shanghai, and our African branch is based in Johannesburg, the largest financial and trade center city in South Africa. With a total area of 35,000 square meters, our integrated warehouses include a bonded warehouse of 6,500 square meters. We have a local delivery network in Africa and provide express delivery and overseas warehousing services between China and Africa, offering end-to-end logistics solutions for cross-border e-commerce. Currently, BUFFALO has achieved significant development and has become a leader in the field of China-Africa cross-border e-commerce, with a market share of the e-commerce small package market from China to South Africa ranking first.

Since its official operation in April 2017, BUFFALO's information management system has been seamlessly integrated with the South African customs system, South African banking system, and several express companies in South Africa. With a fleet of 300 self-owned transportation vehicles, we have established a fully self-operated cross-border e-commerce logistics and distribution service from China to South Africa. In October 2022, BUFFALO purchased 25,000 square meters of land, the former headquarter of Lufthansa in South Africa, as its new sorting center to further enhance our logistics capabilities. This will enable us to process orders more quickly and efficiently, providing better service experience to our customers.

BUFFALO not only has a large-scale team responsible for the entire transportation process, achieving the fastest delivery time of 6 days from China to South Africa, but also has a strong customs clearance team in South Africa. We are the logistics company with the lowest inspection rate and the highest pass rate in the Johannesburg airport customs over the years.

In the future, the company will continue to focus on online retail logistics services in South Africa, and expand to commodity retail business, helping to achieve the goals of millions of African entrepreneurs. We are committed to becoming a global e-commerce supply chain group with significant influence.

Value

  • Seek Truth from Facts

Respect data and facts, be open and candid, work diligently and pragmatically, focus on practical results, and achieve tangible accomplishments.

    Behavior Description

Be honest in communication, do not distort information, conceal the truth or intentionally mislead others. Keep the information objective and truthful, thereby enabling others to make judgments and decisions based on accurate information.

Confront difficulties, issues, and mistakes without avoidance or denial. Approach with a pragmatic attitude, aiming to address problems and quickly find effective solutions.

In the execution process, based on actual data and facts, implement step by step, provide real-time feedback, and timely adjust and summarize post execution.

    Risk Factor

Data and facts require consensus; data and facts without consensus can impact team cooperation negatively.

Understand the need for a more comprehensive perspective on data and facts, relying solely on a narrow viewpoint can impede collaboration and the achievement of final objectives.

  • Be Trustworthy

Honesty and integrity, deliver on promises, be trustworthy to others, cherish their trust, and be willing to trust others as well.

    Behavior Description

Seeking truth from facts forms the basis of trust. We need transparency and openness to respect facts and avoid evasion and shifting blame as the foundation of trust.

Prove honesty, integrity, and responsibility through actions, consistently strive to uphold commitments, and even if unable to fulfill them, promptly communicate and seek solutions, cherishing the hard-earned trust relationships.

Respect and trust others' abilities and commitments, encourage and support them to take initiative and responsibility, and work together to achieve team goals.

    Risk Factor

Building trust should not involve cliquishness.

Evaluate individuals' trustworthiness before relying on them. Stay wary of moral coercion disguised as trust.

Trust that is selective or impure is not genuine and can lead to a trust crisis.

  • Win-win Cooperation

Be open-minded and embrace collaborations. Ensure information flows smoothly between all involved parties. Be goal-oriented and supportive, complementing each other's roles to achieve joint successes that benefit both the organization and internal and external clients.

    Behavior Description

The basis of effective teamwork is trust, which is crucial for facilitating seamless cooperation.

Staying aligned by promptly sharing messages, knowledge, skills, and resources can establish an open platform where information is readily available, facilitating quick consensus and synchronized cooperation.

When making decisions and taking actions, prioritize the interests of the entire team and organization. Actively assist others, take on complementary roles, and work together to achieve collective goals.

    Risk Factor

Teamwork is not about blindly following others; reasonable opinions and suggestions deserve to be encouraged and supported.

Teamwork goes beyond small teams and involves collaborating across teams and departments.
