BUFFALO’s "Mandela Day" Donation Demonstrates Corporate Social Value
On July 18, BUFFALO participated in the "KEEP KASI CLEAN" initiative in Johannesburg, the capital of South Africa’s Gauteng Province, as part of Nelson Mandela International Day. Through tangible actions, the company reaffirmed its commitment to corporate social responsibility, echoing its ethos of "We Deliver Hope" within South African society.
As part of the event, BUFFALO provided financial support to local youth, empowering community development efforts.
The campaign aimed to raise awareness among young people about environmental conservation and community collaboration, drawing significant attention from various sectors. As a VIP sponsor, BUFFALO partnered with government agencies, environmental organizations, and community stakeholders to ensure the initiative’s success.
To commemorate the contributions of former South African President Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela to peace, freedom, and the culture of social justice, the United Nations General Assembly designated July 18th (Mandela's birthday) as "Nelson Mandela International Day." On this day each year, South Africa holds various activities to encourage people to spend at least 67 minutes helping others—these 67 minutes symbolize the 67 years that former President Mandela dedicated to fighting for human rights and social justice.
By joining the Mandela Day donation drive, BUFFALO demonstrated its dedication to "delivering the hope of success and enabling thriving trade." This initiative also reflected the company’s core values: "Pragmatism, Mutual benefit, Trustworthiness".
