The China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE) Opens

On 29 June 2023, the third China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE) opened in Changsha, Hunan Province, co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and the Hunan Provincial People's Government.

Vice-President Han Zheng delivered a speech at the opening ceremony on the 29th. President Chakwera of Malawi, President Mwinyi of Zanzibar, Tanzania, Secretary-General of the Continental Free Trade Area (CFTA), Mene, and more than 1,000 representatives from 68 countries and regions attended.

In March 2013, during his visit to Africa, President Xi first put forward the concept of a genuine and sincere policy towards Africa and the correct concept of righteousness and benefit. Over the past ten years, regardless of the changes in the international climate, China and Africa have always been sincere, friendly, united and cooperative, with closer high-level exchanges, expanding scale of cooperation and continuous expansion of cooperation areas, forming a community of shared destiny and win-win cooperation and interests, and achieving fruitful results for the benefit of the Chinese and African peoples.

Eight guest-of-honour countries, including Benin, Congo (DRC), Madagascar, Malawi, Morocco, Mozambique, Nigeria and Zambia, set up national pavilions to showcase their national images and characteristics, and a large number of special commodities from African countries made a splendid appearance.

BUFFALO was also present at the fair with its team. As a representative of South Africa at the fair, we presented our achievements and advantages as a cross-border logistics company in Central Africa to the audience.
